Check out a sneak peek at our interview with the cast of The Carrie Diaries!
JJJ was lucky enough to visit the set in Brooklyn, New York to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the show and talk to the entire cast – including AnnaSophia Robb, Austin Butler, Brendan Dooling, Katie Findlay, Ellen Wong, Stefania Owen, and Chloe Bridges!
Stay tuned for the rest of our individual interviews with the castmembers!
For now, we asked each of the stars what advice they’d give their characters if they were friends with them in real life.

JJJ: If you could personally give advice to your character right now, what would you tell him or her?
Austin Butler: “Life is not nearly as serious as our mind makes it out to be. I feel that a lot of times it can get really overwhelming and your mind sort of takes over when really it’s not quite as big of a deal.”
Chloe Bridges: “I think Donna is one of those people who hasn’t thought about life outside of high school. She’ll burn bridges and not think about the fact that maybe she will want that bridge later, or maybe she shouldn’t be so awful. Maybe she should think about the future a little bit. She’s kind of an in-the-moment, reckless person, so my advice would be to think a little bit more.”
Katie Findlay: “Oh my God, girl, therapy! Maggie is a highly emotional person and I think the difference between Maggie and I is that she will get herself into situations that are nothing but trouble. And it’s so obviously just trouble. And me and all my massive 22 years of life experience, I’ve sorta learned to identify those situations. So I don’t know if it’s so much advice as it is like shaking her and locking her in a room for the next five years because I can’t even imagine her in her 20s” (laughs).
