Maia Mitchell introduces fans into her life in this new “This Is Who I Am” video from Disney Channel.

“My parents bought me a guitar and I started playing. I’ve been writing music ever since,” the 19-year-old The Fosters actress shared in this brand-new video.

Maia added of her musical talents, “I love the minor chords and I love when you mix a minor chord with a major one and they just [click sound]. There’s something magic that happens.”

Later this summer, you’ll see Maia in ABC Family’s The Fosters opposite Jake T. Austin.
