Skylar Astin Joins TBS's 'Ground Floor'

Skylar Astin is headed to TV.

The 25-year-old Pitch Perfect actor has almost inked a deal to star in TBS’ Ground Floor comedy, THR reports.

Ground Floor centers on a 29-year-old successful alpha male who crosses paths with his company’s support staff — a tight-knit group of happy, carefree people — prompting him to realize that he’s not nearly as happy as he thought he was.

Skylar will play Brody Moyer, the charming manager who’s a master-of-the-universe in training who works for a top company who begins falling for building supervisor Jennifer (Briga Heelan). Jennifer is described as sweet, confident and intelligent, even though she never went to college. After a fling with Brody, she sees what a genuinely nice guy he is and makes it her mission to teach him how to loosen up and enjoy life.
