Janelle Arthur and Candice Glover perform on Wednesday (March 13) during the Top 10 American Idol show.

Janelle, 23, took on “Gone” by Montgomery Gentry, while Candice, 23, sang Tom Jones‘ “I Who Have Nothing.”

Candice received a standing ovation from three out of four judges (Mariah Carey claimed her dress was too tight to stand). “That was my favorite performance that you’ve ever done,” Nick Minaj told her.

Meanwhile, the judges weren’t thrilled with Janelle‘s song choice. But Mariah said, “I love the raw quality of your voice.”
