Taylor Swift on 'New Girl' -- New Pic!

Taylor Swift stands up over the seated crowd in this new still from New Girl.

The 23-year-old musician plays Elaine in the season finale, “Elaine’s Big Day”, on Tuesday, May 14th.

Star Jake Johnson, who plays Nick, told EW about Taylor‘s part, “She came in and is really nice. It’s not an easy scene. There were probably 70 extras there – though I’m sure she performs to so much bigger [crowds] than that on a regular basis. She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly. [Showrunner] Liz [Meriwether] gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”

Episode synopsis: Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Johnson) making a decision about their relationship. Meanwhile, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) plan to sabotage Cece’s (Hannah Simone) wedding, but a surprise announcement throws an additional wrench into the plans.
