'The Selection' Pilot: Officially Dead at CW

'The Selection' Pilot: Officially Dead at CW

Sad news for The Selection fans — the CW has passed on the second pilot.

This was the second go-around for the show, based on Kiera Cass‘ novels which centered on a working class young woman chosen by lottery to participate in a competition with 25 other ladies for Prince Maxon’s hand to become the nation’s next queen.

Filmed in Budapest, Yael Grobglas starred as America Singer with Michael Malarkey as Prince Maxon, and Lucien Laviscount as Aspen.

The second book, “The Elite” is on bookshelves now.

ARE YOU SAD that The Selection is not coming to the CW?

Isn’t this the novel that was involved in the goodreads.com scandal? Also, I’m from Budapest and honestly, why would they film the pilot here…it’s not exactly the right location for this book.
