“Of course I’m bummed,” Shailene Woodley recently told EW about being cut from the film. “But I am a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason. MJ only appeared in a few scenes and I wouldn’t trade the experience of working with Andrew and Emma for three days on set for the world. Based on the proposed plot, I completely understand the need for holding off on introducing MJ until the next film.”

kramer, if you don’t care, why did you even click on the article, let alone take the time to type up a comment on it rather than searching for an article more ‘worthy’ of your precious attention?

On the subject of the article, I actually can’t wait for this film. I originally didn’t think I’d like this reboot but the first one really intrigued me and now I can’t wait to see how they’re going to follow it up and (hopefully) improve on what they did with the first one. I didn’t even realise that MJ had been cut, but if that’s what they thought was best for the story they’re trying to tell, then bravo to them for making a bold move and holding off on introducing a hugely significant Spider-Man character.
