Jenna-Louise Coleman shows off the TARDIS to Prince Charles, Prince of Wales during his visit at the BBC Roath Lock Studios on Wednesday afternoon (July 3) in Cardiff, Wales.
The 27-year-old actress, who plays Clara in the current series, greeted the British royal and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall alongside co-star Matt Smith and executive producer/writer Steven Moffat.
“Meeting The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today was such an honour,” Jenna-Louise shared in a statement. “The Prince was particularly interested in the mechanics of how the TARDIS works and the storyline for the upcoming 50th anniversary special, but I didn’t give too many secrets away.”
During their tour, the Prince revealed that he has been watching the show since the very beginning, way back in 1963 and also got his own sonic screwdriver to use. He even tried out the voice modulator used to create the Daleks’ familiar electronic whine and recited the famed lines “Exterminate!” and “You are our prisoners!”
