'The Vampire Diaries' Adding Three New Characters for Season 5!

Three new faces are headed to Mystic Falls for the upcoming fifth season of The Vampire Diaries!

According to Zap2It, Caroline (Candice Accola) will meet an upperclassman named Jesse at Whitmore College who is described as a sweet, charming, confident human with some mysterious reasons for hating vamps.

Meanwhile, Caroline and Elena (Nina Dobrev) will also have a run-in with a mean, but hot professor who knows an awful lot about the town’s history.

And finally, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) may be trouble with a male doctor who seems to knows all of his bad-boy secrets.

It was previously reported that two other newbies would be joining the cast, including a love interested for Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), and an Eastern European beauty named Nadia, who crosses paths with Matt (Zach Roerig) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) at a bar.
