Cory Monteith Dead: Fox & 'Glee' Execs Release Statement

Cory Monteith‘s death is shocking the nation and more details have been released about how he died.

The 31-year-old Glee actor was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room after he didn’t appear for checkout at the expected time. He had been in the hotel since July 6, according to authorities. Make sure to read the full statement made by Vancouver Police.

Fox, the network that has aired Glee for the past four seasons and has already committed to another two seasons, has released a statement on the shocking news.

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news,” read a statement from Glee producers, Fox and 20th Century Fox Television (via TV Line). “Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”
