Lea Michele Speaks Out for First Time Since Cory Monteith's Death

Lea Michele has broken her silence after the passing of boyfriend co-star Cory Monteith earlier this month.

“Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart,” the 26-year-old actress tweeted on Monday (July 29), two and a half weeks after his death.

Lea had been dating her Glee co-star for over a year and stood by his side back in March when he checked himself into rehab for substance addiction.

Last week, she and Ryan Murphy held a memorial service to celebrate his life along with the cast and crew of Glee.

I’m so proud of her. It is such a difficult postion being in the public eye while going through an aweful experience. She isnt the first woman to lose her boyfriend to substance abuse but how she is going by it and handling it with such manner is amazing. I dont know how she is at home but I hope all is getting better.Im hoping she can At leaste breathe a little better now. If Cory inspired us all then just imagine what he did to the woman he loved. I dont know how I could handle it. or if I could. I pray for Cory and Lea and the rest of the families. I know Cory is proud of her and is sorry for leaving her. I believe God is letting him watch over her and protect her. They are a packaged deal and God knows that. Cory stays with Lea…ALWAYS!
