Lauren Graham Picks Mae Whitman for 'Someday, Someday, Maybe' TV Adaption

Not that Mae Whitman could leave the current season of NBC’s Parenthood, but if she could, co-star Lauren Graham has her next project.

Lauren, who wrote the novel “Someday, Someday, Maybe,” chatted with Entertainment Weekly about the television adaption.

“I brought Mae [Whitman] in to perform for the network. I didn’t want people to think, she’s you but she’s not you. She is a muse for me, but she has a job and I would never � nor can I � pull her from that job. We’re all here at Parenthood through next year,” Lauren shared.

She added, “It’s not at all up to me � but she is exactly the kind of person I would picture in that she is unique and talented.”

The CW adaption is planned for fall 2014.
