The Vampire Diaries fifth season premiere is fast-approaching and we’ve got some scoop just for you!

The Vampire Diaries Season 5 Spoilers

1.Damon
Don’t fret, Delena fans. After four years of will-they-won’t-they heartache, we’ll actually get to see the couple be happy together! And that includes a LOT of kissing. And shirtlessness. And overall joy. Damon and Elena won’t let the long distance thing get in their way.

2. Matt
For the most part, Matt has received the short end of the stick a lot throughout this series. (Understatement of the year?) But after a fun summer abroad with Rebekah, Matt returns to Mystic Falls refreshed and more involved in the series than ever…which should be a good thing, right?

3. Rebekah
Before Beks heads over to The Originals, she spends some time cozying up to her road trip partner…and someone else we’ve never met before.

4. Bonnie
While Matt seems to be catching a break, Bonnie’s troubles don’t stop at her ghost-like state. She watches her two best friends go off to college, still unaware that she’s dead. Meanwhile, some old daddy issues resurface.

5. Katherine
This is the longest Katherine has stayed in one place in…well, forever. But that doesn’t mean she’s off the hook. Now that she’s human, she’s more vulnerable than ever. And in desperate need of a manicure, apparently. Her flirting skills are still on point, though.

6. Silas
Like we ever had any doubt, but Paul Wesley is brilliant in his new doppelganger role. Silas is a villain with a subtle sense of humor, which seems to breed even more fear out of his victims.

7. Stefan
Speaking of…poor Stefan has been locked underwater for months, struggling with some old demons while simultaneously dying over and over again. Pure torture! On the bright side, he hasn’t had to witness the Delena PDA, but we’re guessing he’d prefer that over being trapped at the bottom of the quarry.

8. Jeremy
Jeremy has a little explaining to do after coming back from the dead. (Yes, people in Mystic Falls do notice some things.) Back at school, you’ll get a glimpse at old, outcast Jeremy. Only this time around, his arms are huge and he’s got vampire-hunter training under his belt.

9. Caroline
If anyone was meant to go to college and be that girl who gets excited about decorating her dorm room, it’s Caroline. But trouble seems to follow as it always does, and Caroline is less than happy about a surprise waiting for her at Whitmore. Well, make that two surprises.

10. Elena
As for Elena, she’s happier than ever with Damon, but the fact that Stefan’s been gone for several months certainly isn’t lost on her. She unknowingly helps him in a way that no one else can.
