Jason Derulo Helps Military Couple Get Engaged on GMA

Jason Derulo serenades Coast Guard Petty Officer Third Class Samuel Peikert and new fiancee Jackie Fairchild live on Good Morning America on Monday morning (November 11) in New York City.

The 24-year-old musician sung his swoon worthy song, “Marry Me” to the couple as Samuel got on bended knee to propose to Jackie. She said yes!

Samuel was just named the USO Guardsman of the Year and with Jason, kicked off the USO’s Every Moment Counts Campaign, a national campaign asking Americans to show their gratitude to military servicemen and women and their families by committing to help create and provide these real, everyday moments for troops.

“A lot of these amazing guys like this miss out on these moments. You hear stories of fathers watching their babies being born and not being there for nine months, so we’re trying to make every moment count,” Jason shared on air.

David’s Bridal also got in on the action, gifting Jackie with a wedding gown for her upcoming nuptials. Congrats, Samuel and Jackie!
