Debby Ryan on Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: 'It's A Bucket List Moment'

Debby Ryan hangs on for the ride at the 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday morning (November 28).

The 20-year-old actress and singer opened up to MTV about taking part in the iconic event.

“Every single year my mom would wake us up, and you know, when you’re younger, you’re like ‘I don’t want to get up’ and then you become a teenager and it’s artists that you love and CDs that you bought and songs that you made your parents listen to,” Debby said. “Then you get to the age where you’re sitting and drinking coffee with your parents and you’re kind of friends with your parents. That’s where I’ve just gotten.

“Getting together as a family and watching this was going to be exciting in and of itself, and then, I was able to fly them all out here,” she added. “It’s crazy and surreal and definitely one of those bucket-list moments.”
