Carly Rae Jepsen Replaces Laura Osnes in Broadway's Cinderella!

Carly Rae Jepsen is set to make her Broadway theater debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, BroadwayWorld reports.

The 28-year-old singer confirmed the news over Twitter, sharing the news with her fans with the caption: “Dream come true~”

Carly will step into the title role on February 4th, taking over for Laura Osnes, for a twelve week run, joining Fran Drescher, who will take on the role of Cinderella’s evil stepmother.

“It was essentially musical theater training with studies in singing, dancing and acting,” Carly Rae said about her musical theater training after high school. “My favorite part of the school year was our trip to New York, where we met Broadway performers and toured the theaters.”

Carly Rae added about her debut: “It’s so hopeful and inspiring. I’ve always been one to believe in the impossible, so I relate to her character completely.”

She can barley sing Call Me Maybe, what makes you think she can sing In My Own Little Corner? Is Laura coming back after the 12 week run or is the under study replacing her?
