Justin Bieber's Lawyer Releases Statement: He's Innocent (Photos)

Justin Bieber‘s legal counsel has released a statement after he turned himself in to police on Wednesday night (January 29) in Toronto, Canada.

“The Toronto Police Service requested that Justin Bieber appear in Toronto today to face an allegation of assault relating to an incident on December 29, 2013,” his lawyer said in a statement to E! News. “We anticipate that this matter will be treated as a summary offense, the equivalent of a misdemeanor in the United States.”

It continued, “Our position is that Mr. Bieber is innocent. As the matter is now before the Court, it would be inappropriate to address the specifics of either the allegation or of our defense at this time.”

Justin is being charged with criminal assault after he allegedly attacked a limo driver back in December. He will be photographed and finger-printed, before being released on his own accord.

Meanwhile, Justin has pleaded not-guilty to his unrelated arrest in Miami last week.
