Philip Seymour Hoffman's Family Releases Statement: 'We Are Devastated'

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor Philip Seymour Hoffman‘s family has released a statement after he was found dead in his New York City apartment early this morning (February 2).

“We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving. Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers,” the statement reads.

In case you missed it, Philip‘s Catching Fire co-star Sam Claflin shared his reaction on Twitter after the tragic news broke.
