Ally Maki Heads to Fox for 'Sober Companion'

Congrats to Ally Maki!

The Geography Club actress is headed to Fox for Sober Companion, Deadline reports.

The series, from David S. Rosenthal and Jennie Snyder Urman, centers on Robert, a charming, but self-destructive attorney who finds his world turned upside down when a court-appointed, and highly unconventional, sober companion takes control of his life.

Ally will play Kamiko, Robert’s ex-wife, a Japanese party girl who likes to drink.

“So proud of my best friend @allymaki …She booked her own show on FOX today :)” Ally‘s best friend Colton Haynes tweeted. “I remember mtg her at an audition 7 yrs ago and her thinkin I was a complete weirdo. It’s rare in life when u come across someone who you consider to be family more than ur own family…that’s what she is to me. Love ya so much Alz and can’t wait to watch yo crazy ass on tv every wk instead of just in real life haha.”

I wonder if her show will be true to life. Some of what’s being portrayed on tv about sober companions seems a bit exhagerated. Hopefully, this show will be more in line with reality. congrats to Ally
