Ansel Elgort Finds Fan on Subway; Gets Snubbed

Ansel Elgort chats it up with host Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live in Hollywood on Tuesday night (February 25).

While discussing fan encounters, the 19-year-old Divergent actor opened up about the one time he found a fan, or sort of fan, on the subway in New York City and got brushed off.

“I look over to my left and there’s a guy and he has his iPhone out, with two ear buds in, and he’s watching Carrie, which is my first movie. I see Chlo� [Moretz] and then I realize it’s the scene where, I’m in the scene. I’m taking her to prom. It switches my face is on the screen and I’m like, ‘This is my chance,’” he shared.

Ansel continued, “I was so excited and I went over and I tapped him on the shoulder. And I go like this [points to himself]. He looks at me like I’m crazy and then I’m like, ‘No, no, no, that’s me.’ And he goes, ‘What?’ and takes out his earbud. And I’m like, ‘That’s me right there’ and he looks at me.”

He even offered to take a picture with the guy, but the man just put his ear buds back in and continued to watch the horror flick.
