The 25-year-old Tomorrow People actress opened up to the glossy about the transition from child to adult actor, her sense of style, and more!
On growing as an actor: “It’s funny you mention that because it makes me sad when I hear some people talk about having such a horrible childhood experience and how they would never wish this life upon their kids. I, on the other hand, had such a great experience growing up in this business. It’s all I’ve ever known and I’ve loved every moment of it. I can’t imagine growing up any other way and I’m thankful to have had the kind of people I still have in my life.”
On what keeps her grounded: “I’m kind of becoming – I don’t want to say a ‘gym junkie’ because that sounds ridiculous and it makes me sound like I’m ‘pumping’ in the gym – but I love a good, healthy exercise. I feel like every day, whatever I do, I have to get my heart rate up whether it’s hiking or going to gym, because I feel better and it clears my mind. I also love to cook which is probably why I have to go to the gym (laughs). That’s another hobby I love doing during the day when I’m not working. Also, just spending time with family and good friends who call me out on being a goofball or acting like a dork.”
On fashion: “This sounds kind of clichéd, but any time I can literally put on a pair jeans, a white T-shirt, and my Louboutin heels or my YSL heels, I feel like a woman. There’s something about those heels that are so strong and powerful yet so feminine and beautiful that you can’t help but kind of feel strong and sexy. Those are power heels.”
