Ed Sheeran Fulfills Dying Teen's Wish, Serenades Her Over the Phone

We already knew Ed Sheeran was a sweet guy, but he really does make dreams come true!

According to The Independent, the 23-year-old British singer/songwriter called a 15-year-old girl named Triona Priestley, who was battling cystic fibrosis, and sang his song “Little Bird” to her just minutes before she passed away.

It all started with a #SongForTri Twitter campaign that started last week in hopes that Ed might see it – and he did!

“Myself and my family would like to thank Ed Sheeran and everyone who started and supported the #SongForTri campaign,” her brother Colm told the publication. “What they gave us and her was a beautiful last moment together. Triona slipped into a sleep as Ed was singing to her and passed away shortly afterwards. So Ed Sheeran sang her to sleep.”

He added, “We are all so proud of Triona and how she fought cystic fibrosis. Everyone loved Triona so much and she knew that.”

Ed later tweeted, “Rest in peace Triona, so heartbreaking x.”

Our thoughts are with Triona‘s family and friends during this difficult time.
