Director Jon M. Chu Shares 'Jem & The Holograms' Movie Update & Auditions!

JJJ is still bouncing from the news about a Jem and the Holograms live action movie and while we’re gathering our dream cast list, director Jon M. Chu is updating fans on everything.

“Thank you to everyone who submitted to our #JemTheMovie casting call. We’re looking through all the submissions as we type and can’t wait to start making the film,” the production team posted on the official site.

They added, “Due to time constraints, auditions sent after the deadline will not be reviewed! But don’t worry there will be more opportunities to get involved. For our non-singing-dancing-acting fans we have lots more challenges on the way so you too can be a part of Jem The Movie!”

Check out the video update below!

I had never watched this show before cause I was born in 1994 and everyone were born in the 1990′s too. So, I’m not familiar with this show and seen parts of it.

@xa: @Invisiblewoman:
Agree with you both! Secondly, Why??? Jem worked perfectly in the 80s because it was a part of that space and time- women moving up the corporate ladder, bringing their tennis shoes along with their power suits etc. I don’t want to see this movie! No matter how awesome it is ( and my hopes aren’t high), it will never be as awesome as watching the original when I was four, five and six years old. Sorry! The Karate Kid, GI Joe, Transformers, Ninja Turtles, now my beloved Jem, what’s next She-Ra, Moondreamers? Why is Hollywood always trying to reinvent the wheel? Thousands of new and original screenplays come in everyday!
