Miley Cyrus Remains Hospitalized Over 'Extreme Reaction' to Sinus Infection Medication

Unfortunately, Miley Cyrus may be stuck in the hospital for a while, according to her rep.

Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour in N.C. a week ago. She was prescribed the antibiotic cephalexin, which she has now suffered an extreme allergic reaction to,” the 21-year-old entertainer’s rep told Us Weekly. “This type of extreme reaction can last from 5 to 27 days in these types of cases.”

The statement continued, “She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”

Earlier in the week, she was forced to cancel shows after seeking treatment for the reaction.

“over the hospital I miss #bangerztour #5amhospyselfie so sleeeeepy #medztime #wishicouldcuddlefloyd #whojinxedme,” she captioned a new Instagram pic of herself in the hospital bed.

Miley‘s next show is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, but it is uncertain if she will be able to perform. Feel better, Miley!
