Naya Rivera Not Dropped From Record Label -- See The Statement

Naya Rivera hasn’t been dropped from her label after all.

After Billboard reported that the 27-year-old actress/singer was dropped from Columbia Records, her rep squashed the rumors for once and for all.

“The newest story claiming that Naya Rivera was dropped from her recording contract with Columbia Records is absolutely false. If the ‘news’ outlets who put out this story had bothered to contact anyone from her team they would have learned this was false. To be clear, any rumors or statements made as fact, that Naya Rivera was fired or let go from Glee or dropped from her recording contract, are categorically false,” her rep tells

They added, “Someone obviously has an agenda to damage Naya‘s good name and the media are failing at their duty to responsibly vet their sources and verify what is true and what is not. Naya‘s attorneys are prepared to take any and all legal action to enforce and protect her rights.”

Well we all know who is out to ruin her don’t we. Lea Michele and her team.

  • Jared

@marylou: If Lea was out to ruin Naya, why are they both following each other on Twitter?

  • Andrea

@Jared: Of Course she’s gonna follow her, she doesnt want the Media to speculate something’s wrong, although everyone knows what’s happening in there.

  • Too bad

It was a waste of time.

@marylou: If it is Lea then she is doing it wrong because all this is making more people talk about Naya than her.

  • http://none/ Kylie

    I think she left.

  • LOL

this is such bs, Naya couldn’t even get her single “Sorry” to chart, what a lame excuse from a lame singer

  • Erika

    I love her hair :)

  • Alice

@Kylie: Exactly, this is going to turn out worse for Naya. Also, if she wasn’t dropped from her record label then why is she not listed as an artist? Go to their website – she is not there.

  • Alice

@marylou: Who are you counting as “we”?

  • Laura

Her single “Sorry” only sold 34,000 copies. That’s pathetic. Her label is losing interest in her because she originally had pitched an R&B/Pop album with strong hip-hop influences. She was supposed to have several songs with Big Sean on her album, but obviously that isn’t going to happen anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if she actually is dropped but her people are just trying to do some damage control while they talk to Columbia.

@Andrea: How do you know what’s really going on? You don’t know them personally.
