Ben Kingsley To Voice Bagheera The Black Panther in Disney's 'The Jungle Book'

Sir Ben Kingsley has just joined Disney’s new adaption of The Jungle Book.

The legendary 70-year-old actor will voice the kind black panther, who tries to steer Mowgli in the right path during his time in the jungle.

“Everybody knew Bagheera, and nobody dared to cross his path; for he was as cunning as Tabaqui, as bold as the wild buffalo, and as reckless as the wounded elephant. But he had a voice as soft as wild honey dripping from a tree, and a skin softer than down,” author Rudyard Kipling wrote of the character in the novel.

The new adaption of The Jungle Book combines live action and animated filmmaking and will hit theaters on October 9, 2015.
