5 Seconds of Summer Accepted Their Teen Choice Award Surfboard In A Shower!

5 Seconds of Summer perform a live acoustic set during a meet and greet at Q102 radio station in Philadelphia, Penn., on Wednesday afternoon (August 13).

“thank you for everyone at Q102 today, I lub you,” Luke Hemmings tweeted after performing with his bandmates Ashton Irwin, Michael Clifford, and Calum Hood.

Over the weekend, the guys picked up a surfboard at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards and unfortunately were unable to make the show. But that didn’t stop them from sending in a hot acceptance video.

“We’re terribly sorry we couldn’t be there tonight. But we wanted to say a big thank you to our fans for voting for us for Break Out Group and Group of the Summer. Thank you to Teen Choice Awards for letting us record this video,” they shared. “And basically thank you to every single fan that’s ever done anything at all for us. We love you guys so much, and basically we are on tour at the moment, in the shower. We’re together for a surf now. Right now. We are trying to surf. We’ll see you guys soon.”
