Olympic Ice Dancers Charlie White, Alex & Maia Shibutani Take The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Alex Shibutani and Charlie White sneak up on Maia Shibutani in their video for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

While Charlie and Alex were both nominated by several people, Maia, 20, wasn’t — but she took the challenge anyway and got two, very full, very cold buckets dumped on her.

“I nominate @maddiebowman @schendrickson @adeibold! Thanks @AlexShibutani and @CharlieaWhite!” Maia wrote on Twitter after the challenge.

Psst, Meryl Davis is getting hers done too! Stay tuned!

I think their UTube video is one of the best ALS challenge I’ve seen so far. They took the time to explain what ALS is and made sure they gave the link so people can donate. Cheers!

Some celebrities just get the water dumped on them and don’t even explain why. And some of them don bikinis to put attention on them not on the cause.

@Ria I agree – informative video for a deserving worthwhile cause – the sad fact is that ALS is occurring more frequently and is a totally progressive disease with no remission. The ShibSibs & Charlie (who has challenged Drew Carey, James Maslow & Cody Simpson) are not only talented but upbeat positive caring people

@Ria:

Totally agree. It should be awareness about the disease and donation for its cure. They did a good job of reinforcing the message by giving info on the disease. Why would someone want to donate if they didn’t know what it was about. Sadly some people are using it to create awareness about themselves.
