Nicholas Hoult Prefers Grounded & Realistic Characters

Nicholas Hoult continues to make us swoon with his facial scruff as he heads inside the HuffPo Live studios for an interview on Friday (October 10) in New York City.

The 24-year-old actor was joined by his Young Ones co-stars Michael Shannon, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and director Jake Paltrow.

During the interview, Nicholas opened up about how he chooses his roles, and if he prefers the sci-fi genre.

“There’s that thing where by they are all grounded and realistic characters and human emotions, with good dialogue and good people working on the film,” he said. “That’s the appeal essentially, just to work with good people and learn.”

Young Ones is set in the future when water is hard to find, and a teenage boy sets out to protect his family and survive.
