Asa Butterfield makes his red carpet entrance at the premiere of his new movie X+Y held during the 2014 BFI London Film Festival at the Odeon West End on Monday night (October 13) in London, England.
The 17-year-old actor recently opened up about how he got interested in the role.
“I loved the script. I always think that trying to push yourself as an actor in a direction that you’ve never been before, developing characters which are more difficult to get into the head of, or are more interesting and further away from yourself, is always a challenge,” Asa said. “But, you want to take up that challenge and try your best.”
The film follows a socially awkward teenage math prodigy who finds new confidence and new friendships when he lands a spot on the British squad at the International Mathematics Olympiad.
