Ellington Ratliff Says He's The 'Backbone' Of R5

Ellington Ratliff catches a ride from Rydel Lynch in his new Getting To Know R5 vid, from the Vevo Lift series.

“Becoming a drummer was very natural. Walking into a music shop, I would gravitate naturally towards the drum set. I showed my grandma one day and she was like ‘You need drum lessons’,” the 21-year-old musician shared.

Ratliff added, “As the drummer of R5, I consider myself the backbone. I’m the beat, I’m the rhythm. Without me, they’d be lost,” Ratliff joked.
