Alex from Target blew up on the internet this week and already has over 576,000 followers on Twitter after just a couple days.
A company called Breakr is claiming that it is responsible for making the Target employee, whose real name is Alex Lee, an internet sensation.
Now Alex, who just flew to Los Angeles to tape an appearance for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, is claiming that isn’t true.

“Apparently there is a company trying to take credit for how the pic taken of me went viral,” Alex tweeted. “My family and I have never heard of this company. I didn’t know the pic was taken or tweeted until my store manager showed me. Thanks to all who have been positive. I appreciate the support.”
