'The 100' Mid Season Finale Spoilers: We Did Not See [SPOILER'S] Death Coming!

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED OR DO NOT WANT TO KNOW!

The 100 is one more man down after last night’s episode on The CW, where we saw Finn (Thomas McDonell) die at the hands of Clarke (Eliza Taylor).

During the mid-season finale, we saw Clarke struggle and find a way to keep Finn alive, who was wanted by The Grounders for killing many of them, but a solution never came and instead of letting the Grounders have him, she was the one who stabbed him with a knife in the abdomen.

“We’re going to see her break, definitely,” Eliza shared with TVLine about Clarke’s decision and aftermath. “What’s good about this, in a way, is that it’ll force her to evolve into a real leader. You’ll be asking, ‘How far will she really go to save her people?’ And, ‘Can she wash the blood from her hands?’ It was really Finn’s story in the first half of the season, and now it’s Clarke’s.”

Showrunner Jason Rothenberg also chimed in (via ETOnline) about Finn’s death, saying, “In this case, she was obviously trying to save him from a horrible, horrible death. She was also trying to save her people from being slaughtered from the Grounders, and now she’s taken this thing on. And it’s not going to go away. It’s going to change her and it’s going to haunt her forever. She will never be the same. She will not be bouncing back from this being able to pretend that this didn’t happen, and the show is not going to let her. It really does inform everything she does moving forward.”
