Kate Voegele shows her love for Nirvana while posing at Promenade Music Entertainment’s 2014 Rock The Schools Concert last week at The Gramercy Theatre in New York City.

The 28-year-old singer and One Tree Hill alum was joined by fellow performers Secondhand Serenade, past American Idol winner Lee DeWyze, Rescue Me‘s Michael Lombardi, and singers Rosi Golan and Alexis Keegan.

“I’m so overwhelmed by the success and outpour of incredible feedback by fans approaching me throughout the night congratulating me on an amazing show,” Alaina Bendi, creator and founder of Rock the Schools Concert, said. “I can’t believe this is our 4th year and while each one has been amazing and we’ve worked with incredible talent, last night’s show was exceptional. There are no words to express the genuine generosity and enthusiasm of the artists.”

The event that was created in 2011 to support and promote music programs in schools, specifically The VH1 Save The Music Foundation for the second year in a row.

Oh and get this! There was a bit of a OTH reunion when Wakey!Wakey! singer Michael Grubbs jumped on stage to perform a surprise duet!
