Maggie Chapman Premieres Music Video for 'Pretty Little Liars' Track 'It Should've Been You' - Watch Now!

“I’m pretty sure I’m dreaming because my first music video has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember,” Maggie tells JJJ. “The song was inspired by my older brother and his high-school sweetheart. Several years after breaking up they were reunited at a mutual friends funeral. After the service, they were talking and throughout the entire conversation, she was playing with her engagement ring. He finally just looked at her and asked, ‘Are you happy?’ and she said, ‘I don’t like to talk about it. It should’ve been you.’”

Maggie continues, “The kind of heartache you feel for people who are close to you is an entirely different pain than being directly heartbroken and I still get tears in my eyes every time I sing this song. I wanted to keep this video as raw, real and emotional as possible. No intricate storyline, no multiple actors or venues. I think that it was critical that this song simply spoke for itself.”
