Maia & Alex Shibutani Are Sneaking Up On Madison Chock & Evan Bates at US Nationals
Things definitely got dramatic during the Ice Dance Short Program at 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships held at Greensboro Coliseum on Friday night (January 23) in Greensboro, N.C.
Madison Chock and Evan Bates and Maia and Alex Shibutani are neck and neck in the first and second positions for the title.
“That’s no surprise,” Evan shared after the event. “We know very well the Shibutanis are excellent competitors and I think our rivalry is nothing new to anybody. We’re expecting that and I think it’s going to set up for a really good free dance tomorrow.”
While Madison and Evan are at the top with 73.95 points, the ShibSibs are just .11 behind in second with 73.84.
Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue are in third with 65.43 points.
