Nathan Sykes Confirms He Wrote Song About Ariana Grande for Upcoming Solo Album

Nathan Sykes is opening up about his highly-anticipated upcoming debut solo record!

The 21-year-old singer (and former member of The Wanted) is set to release the album this year, and recently confirmed that there would be a song about his relationship with Ariana Grande.

“The most emotional song [on the album] is about me telling myself not to be angry at the breakup because sometimes things just don’t work out. That’s life,” Nathan told The Sun. “The time we broke up was really tough. The Wanted decided to take a break and I lost my grandad. I was not in the best place. She was my first grown-up relationship. But sometimes you have to go into a place like that to be able to find the best music out of it.”

When asked if Ariana knows about the song, Nathan said, “No. But it’s important not to be selfish with writing so there’s no detailed version of events. And there’s no bad blood. She’s a lovely girl.”
