Taylor Swift Puts Trademark on 'This Sick Beat' & Other '1989' Lyrics!

Taylor Swift shows her business savvy side by trademarking some of her popular lyrics from her latest album 1989!

The 25-year-old entertainer has trademarked “This Sick Beat,” “Cause We Never Go Out of Style,” “Party Like It’s 1989,” “Could Show You Incredible Things” and “Nice to Meet You. Where You Been?,” which are part of her songs such as “Style” and “Shake It Off.”

By trademarking these phrases, no one is able to profit from making merchandise with these phrases without breaking the law, besides from Taylor. It’s a smart move on her part!
