Val Chmerkovskiy Defends Pal Zendaya After Giuliana Rancic's Dreadlocks Comments

There aren’t many things we love more in this world than Val Chmerkovskiy and Zendaya‘s friendship, and this is just another reason why.

The Dancing with the Stars pro has taken to Instagram to commend the 18-year-old singer/actress after she eloquently responded to some tasteless criticism by E! Fashion Police personality Giuliana Rancic.

“Zendaya Coleman. a bright light and a real role model to a generation that truly lacks them,” Val wrote. specifically in the world of entertainment and today’s version of the celebrity elite.”

He added, “I’m proud you. voicing your thoughts with bite, sincerity, passion, yet always with a sense of accountability and tact. keep it up. @zendaya”

Scandal star Kerry Washington also came out to show her love, tweeting, “Well done Beautiful. XO @Zendaya.”
