Zayn Malik Officially Takes One Direction Reference Out of His Twitter Handle

Zayn Malik has made his exit from One Direction even more official.

The 22-year-old singer changed his Twitter account handle to “@ZaynMalik,” shortening it from “@ZaynMalik1D.”

Not soon after fans noticed it, #YouWillAlwaysBeZaynMalik1D started trending on Twitter.

Zayn also removed references to the band from his Twitter bio, which used to include a link to 1D‘s website.
