On learning how to pretend fly: “You have to hold your entire body weight up with just your abs, sometimes while suspended 30 feet in the air…I am now the only human who knows how to fly.”

On studying acting in NYC: “I didn’t know anyone but I just plunged right in. I thrived there even though the city kicked my ass a few times.”

On Supergirl: “I wanted her to be someone who is eccentric and messed up and makes a lot of mistakes. She’s more human than alien.”
