Star Wars' Billie Lourd Talks Going Into the Family Business!

Billie Lourd, the daughter of Carrie Fisher and agent Bryan Lourd, poses for Interview magazine’s New Wave feature.

The 22-year-old actress talked about her new role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and her love of acting. Here’s what she shared:

On her role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: “I’m not Princess Leia’s daughter!”

On going into the family business: “It’s been a secret dream of mine. My whole life, they said, ‘Do not act. You need to get a college degree.’ I went to performing arts camp, secretly taking classes—I got the lead in the musical, and my dad was like, ‘Wait, I thought you were going here for music and knitting.’?”

On her role in Scream Queens: “It’s scary, but there’s a lot of comedic breaks. [My character Chanel No. 3] brought up my sass level for sure.”
