Zendaya Finds The Roots In Her Name For Immigrant Heritage Month - Watch Here!

Zendaya poses with her mom and dad, Claire and Kazembe, in this new video celebrating Immigrant Heritage Month.

In case you didn’t know, June is Immigrant Heritage Month and Welcome.us traveled throughout the United States to photograph and capture stories that represent the diversity of the American identity as well as the human connections that define the American experience.

Zendaya, 18, sat down with her parents to discover more of her roots and where she gets her name.

“I have my African first name, I have a middle name that is [my mom's] middle name, which is French, but we did it African spelling, so it’s literally me in a name,” Zendaya shared. “And then you have Stoermer, and then you have Coleman. I literally have, like, a timeline in history in my name.”
