AnnaSophia Robb gets ready to get down to work with a nail gun for the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity Build-A-Thon late last month.
The 21-year-old Mercy Street actress was one of the many volunteers who chipped in, along with 600 other volunteers.
Cotton Incorporated`s Blue Jeans Go Green Program met its goal of collecting 10,000 denim apparel items and was able to provide insulation for the ten homes that were built. The program converted unwanted denim items into UltraTouch Denim Insulation, through manufacturing partner Bonded Logic, Inc. and provides it to communities in need. The initiative, which brings the environmental gains cotton growers have made in the field full-circle by diverting textiles from landfills and helping to rebuild communities.
After completing the home, AnnaSophia presented homeowner Karen Walker with her new keys on America Street.
