Iggy Azalea Says 'Pretty Girls' Was a Flop Due to Poor Promotion
Iggy Azalea is not holding back her feelings after a fan tweeted that her song “Pretty Girls” with Britney Spears was a flop.
The 25-year-old rapper is blaming poor promotion of the song as the reason for why it peaked at just number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“even if PG flopped a little bit still getting a lot of views on YT and it’s the summer anthem of 2015, so whatever we love you,” the fan wrote with a positive spin.
Here is how Iggy responded: “its difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately im just featured… i would have enjoyed performing it alot, i think it got off to a powerful start. but you need content to compete in 2015.”
Britney and Iggy performed the song last month at the Billboard Music Awards in Vegas.
