Nick Jonas Says His Diabetes Has Really Shaped Who He is as a Person

Nick Jonas keeps it chill in shades while dining at Cecconi’s with a group of friends on Monday afternoon (July 13) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 22-year-old singer recently opened up about how his Type 1 diabetes inspires his music.

“‘A Little Bit Longer’ was a song I was really happy to write,” Nick told EW. “Probably in a lot of ways, it’s been therapeutic for me.”

He added, “It’s really shaped who I am as a person. It has an effect on my creative life, the way I approach writing songs and doing all that.”

I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes and put on Metformin on April 15th, 2014. I began the ADA diet and followed it 100% for a few weeks and could not get my blood sugar to go below 140. I asked my doctor what I could do and he said I would be on metformin my whole life – until I graduated to insulin. I lost hope I could do anything besides just take meds. Then, I found the Diabetes Destroyer book ( http://www.diabetesdestroyed.info ) It made sense and opened my eyes to the world of natural diabetes treatment. I started to implement new methods the very next day. I lost over 30 pounds and 6 inches on my waist in a month. I have more than enough energy to workout twice and day and keep going. I almost fell for the trap the pharms have set up for people like us, but I got lucky. Open your minds people and try alternative methods, these corporations are making their money from us being sick. Why would they want that to end?
