Nathan Sykes Surprised Himself With His New Sound

Nathan Sykes has a good time performing on stage during the Hallam FM’s 2015 Summer Live Gig held at the Motorpoint Arena on Friday night (July 17) in Sheffield, England.

The 22-year-old “Kiss Me Quick” singer recently spoke to Rolling Stone about reinventing his sound after The Wanted‘s break.

“I surprised myself a tiny bit [with the sound],” he shared, “and I was surrounded with music like that all the way through since I was a child.”

Nathan added, “I think it was important to keep the album as a pop album while bringing in elements like soul and jazz and R&B as well.”
