Cody Simpson Interrupted John Mayer on a Date to Ask for Musical Advice
Cody Simpson grabs his guitar for a performance of his new single “Livin Easy” on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Monday night (July 20) in Los Angeles.
The 18-year-old singer also opened up about recently getting some musical advice from one of his idols – John Mayer.
“I went to SoHo House and he was there, and I’m pretty sure he was on a date,” Cody said. “I went up to him and interrupted his date. I was like, ‘Bro, I’m about to release my first independent album. Please let me send it to you and please tell me what you think.”
Cody continued, “And he was nice enough to send back a long-ass email with all this advice.”
