'Descendants' Countdown Week on JJJ!: Which Descendant Would Be Your BFF?

We are getting so excited for the upcoming premiere of Disney Channel’s Descendants!

The Disney Channel Original Movie, airing Friday, July 31st @ 8PM ET/PT, is set in the idyllic kingdom of Auradon where Ben, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from “Beauty and the Beast”), is poised to take the throne.

His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay, the trouble-making offspring of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella de Vil and Jafar, who have been banished to the forbidden Isle of the Lost for 20 years.

These villainous descendants are allowed into Auradon for the first time to attend prep school alongside the teenage progeny of Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mulan. Only time will tell if these evil teens follow in the footsteps of their wicked parents!

JJJ totally wishes we were enrolled at the same school as the Descendants! In fact, we wonder which character would be our BFF…do you know who would be yours?! Find out inside…

If you’re…

Clever, edgy, and artistic: Mal, daughter of Maleficent (Dove Cameron)
A naturalborn leader, Mal takes charge of carrying out her mother’s evil plan to steal Fairy Godmother’s magic wand when she and her friends are given a chance to attend prep school in Auradon. She is clever, edgy, artistic, and her ability to cast spells makes her both popular and feared by the teens in Auradon.

Super stylish and looking for love: Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen (Sofia Carson)
Evie is Mal’s best friend and secretly excited to go to Auradon in hopes of finding a perfect prince. She soon realizes that she is much more than a pretty face, and there’s more to life than being the fairest of them all. Armed with her mother’s magic mirror, she uses it to help her villainous peers carry out their parents’ evil plan.

Really athletic: Jay, son of Jafar (Booboo Stewart)
He has a penchant for stealing things, which kept him busy at home on the Isle of the Lost. In Auradon, he puts his athleticism to good use as a star player on the tourney team, the prep school’s choice sport. Through tourney, he is exposed to teamwork for the first time and helps the other villain kids understand its value in executing their plan.

Good at all things technology: Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil (Cameron Boyce)
Instilled with an everpresent fear of dogs, Carlos joins the other villain kids as they take on prep school at Auradon to capture Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and set their parents free. His tech-savviness comes in handy when he and the other villain teens get stuck in a bind.

Brave and handsome: Prince Ben, son of King Beast and Queen Beauty (Mitchell Hope)
Poised to take the throne, he makes his first proclamation and offers a chance at redemption to Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay. Unlike his peers, he does not fear the troublemaking teens and embraces them as friends while he helps them navigate the unfamiliar land where goodness runs rampant.

Good at avoiding trouble: Jane, daughter of the Fairy Godmother (Brenna D’Amico)
Taught to never stray from goodness, she is fearful of the villain kids and particularly wary of their forbidden magic – but a special spell from Mal changes her outlook.

Confident and wellliked: Audrey, daughter of Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip (Sarah Jeffrey)
Naturally royal, she is the girlfriend of Prince Ben and the most popular princess at Auradon Prep. She’s the least accepting of the four villain kids, and especially suspicious of Mal.

Welcoming and accepting of others: Lonnie, the daughter of Mulan (Dianne Doan)
Lonnie is upbeat and friendly and unlike most Auradon kids, she is much more openminded about having the four wicked descendants attend their school and is sympathetic to their plight.

Charming and smart: Chad, the son of Cinderella and Prince Charming (Jedidah Goodacre)
He’s an allstar player on the school’s tourney team, and uses his charm and good looks to try and get what he wants.

Musically-gifted: Doug, the son of Dopey (Zachary Gibson)
Doug is a talented musician and ironically takes a liking to Evie, the Evil Queen’s daughter.

Descendants premieres on Friday, July 31st @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
