Connor Franta is going big for his birthday this year.
The 23-year-old social star just launched his second birthday campaign for The Thirst Project and is hoping to raise awareness and funds for the charity, whose mission is to build a socially conscious generation of young people to fight and put an end to the global water crisis.
Last year, Connor ran a similar campaign and earned more than $230,000 in 30 days which went to help build 19 wells in Swaziland to provide clean drinking water for thousands of people. He also continued to fund the charity with the launch of his specialty coffee line, Common Culture Coffee, ultimately donating all of the profits from the coffee line’s first release.
This year, he’s hoping to raise $180,000 to build 15 more wells and if you donate, you’ll get postcards, posters, t-shirts and maybe even a trip to Los Angeles!
“There are still so many people in the world who do not have access to something as simple as clean, safe drinking water,” said Connor. “The campaign I did for Thirst Project last year on my birthday made a tremendous difference thanks to the incredible generosity of my viewers, and I hope together we’ll be able to make an even larger contribution to the cause this year.”
